I recently had the opportunity to attend eavolve’s EA & PA Strategy Training Day, one of their Developing Leaders courses for EAs, PAs, and Chiefs of Staff – and I can honestly say it exceeded expectations.
The day, expertly led by Emily Partridge and Lily Shippen, created a space for thoughtful reflection, practical learning, and genuine connection. The sessions were grounded in the real-world challenges we face in these roles, and focused on how we can step up as strategic partners, not just operational support. It was empowering to explore how we can bring more influence, clarity, and leadership to the table – without needing to change who we are or where we sit within an organisation.
Working fully remotely, I rarely get to connect face-to-face with others in similar roles. This event not only gave me that opportunity, but also reminded me of the power of shared experiences. There’s something energising about being in a room with people who just ‘get it’ – the unspoken demands, the shifting priorities, the high expectations of the industry.
What stayed with me most was the mindset shift. I left the day with practical tools and actions I could apply immediately and a nudge to pursue some longer-term goals I’ve been sitting on for a while.
