Q: Why are so many EA Managers underpaid?

Most EA Managers grew into the role rather than being hired into it, and 73% received either no pay rise or a token one when they took on management responsibility. The salary was set by adding a little to an Executive Assistant’s pay rather than by pricing a management job, which is why people hired in as managers earn a median of £78,750 and people who grew in with a token increase earn £60,000.

Q: Who runs the Future Ready EA & PA Training Day?

The day is delivered by Lily Shippen, Emily Partridge and Alice Garside, eavolve's associate trainer, and it focuses on how EAs and PAs use AI to become more strategic.

Q: Which AI skills does an EA need?

An EA should be comfortable using AI tools for drafting, summarising, research and diary planning, and should know how to set up rules and prompts that run reliably, although the more important skill is deciding what to do with the time the tools give back.

Q: How can an EA or PA use AI to be more strategic?

Hand the admin layer to the tools and spend the recovered time closer to the executive by preparing them for decisions, building relationships across the business and owning projects, which is the thinking behind eavolve's Future Ready EA & PA Training Day.

Q: Will AI replace executive assistants?

No, because AI is taking on the repetitive admin that used to fill an assistant's day, such as first drafts, summaries and diary logic, while the judgement, relationships, context and discretion that define a senior EA or PA can't be automated, and employers are hiring for exactly those qualities.
